Schools Ministry (Scripture Union Schools Work)
SMC students get to work alongside the Southport Scripture Union Schools Worker in Primary and High Schools doing assemblies, lessons, lunch-time clubs, homework clubs, and productions for Christmas and Easter.

Children’s Ministry
SMC students are given the opportunity to work with in our Children’s ministry, Shoreline Kids.  On a Sunday morning students may help within any of the Sunday school classes playing games, leading songs, making crafts, and most importantly teaching the children bible basics.  

Youth Ministry
The youth ministry at Shoreline Church, Cellar, is for ages 11-16. SMC students will are heavily involved with the different elements that make up the youth ministry.  Students may help in various areas of the ministry including the youth worship band, leading small groups, youth outings, and the Thursday night youth service.  

Sunday Services
The SMC team will also take part in serving Shoreline’s Sunday services. You may find yourself ministering in a number of areas, whether its drama, worship, sound and lights, set-up or stewarding.

Green Pastures
The main thrust of Green Pastures is to house the poor and needy of our community. We will have the opportunity to invest in this vital Christ centred ministry through practical hands-on serving. Green Pastures is currently housing well over two hundred and fifty individuals and families across the U.K.

Visitation
SMC plays a vibrant active role in Shoreline Church’s and the Cellar’s visitation ministry.

Travelling
SMC will not only be a ministry experience in Merseyside, but students will also have the opportunity to minister throughout the U.K. as well as abroad.  We will minister at churches across the U.K., attend the Master’s Commission Europe Conference, and various mission trips every year.
    
Trend
Students have a unique outlet in the relational ministry called Trend, designed for 16-26 year olds.  Trend challenges those within this crucial decision-making stage of life to be grounded in faith and seek direction from God.  An SMC student’s involvement in Trend will be mainly to just attend since we’d like to give them an opportunity to connect and build relationships with their peer group within Shoreline Church.

Worship
Students who have an interest and abilities in worship will have the opportunity to be a part of the growing and dynamic worship team of Shoreline Church.  They’ll take part in practices, Sunday services, and special events.

Missions
Shoreline Church is very much a missions minded church with a vision to help and support missionaries and church planters across the globe.  SMC has taken that vision, ran with, and supported it fully.  During the year SMC will be apart of short term mission trips to support the partnerships Shoreline has with missionaries worldwide.

Coffee Heaven
Coffee Heaven is a practical ministry of Shoreline Church in serving fresh hot teas and coffees before and after various services.  SMC students will be apart of the Coffee Heaven staff during our mid-week evening, 7Eleven, and possibly on our Sunday mornings as well.  Coffee Heaven is a developing ministry promoting and giving others the opportunity to connect and grow relationally within a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. 

Christians Against Poverty
CAP is a national debt counselling charity with a network of 82 centres based in local churches. CAP offers hope and a solution to anyone in debt through its unique, in-depth service.  One of the CAP centres is based here, out of Shoreline Church.  Students may have the opportunity to be involved in the running of CAP, particularly in helping put together and run CAP client events to evangelise in a more relational way.  

Puppet Ministry
Students at SMC have an amazing opportunity to learn from an experienced puppeteer the art of ministering with puppets.  Students also will be apart of ministering with the Heartland Ministries puppet team in its various ministry opportunities including schools and outreach events.
